While shopping at Marshall's earlier this season, I saw so many cute skull-themed Halloween decorations like these! However, most of them were outside of the budget I'd set for this year's party, so I decided to try and DIY with Dollar Tree items instead!
Here is what you'll need from the Dollar Tree:
Glitter spiders
Here is what else you'll need:
Here are the step-by-step instructions:
For a Skull Pedestal Decoration
Step 1: Using the blow dryer method if needed, remove the stickers on the bottom of the skulls.
Step 2: Spray paint the glass taper and candle holder black and allow to dry.
Step 3: Hot glue the bottom of the skull to the top of the candle holder.
For a Skull Candelabra
Step 1: Using the blow dryer method, if needed, remove the stickers on the bottom of the skulls.
Step 2: Spray paint the lass taper and plate candle holders black and allow to dry.
Step 3: Hot glue the bottom of the skull to the top of the painted taper candle holder.
Step 4: Hot glue additional skulls, if desired. (The more you add, the less stable it will become)
Step 5: Hot glue the bottom of the glass plate candle holder to the top of the skull as evenly and level as possible.
I ended up making two skull pedestal decorations, three one-skull candelabras, and two two-skull candelabras for the party. These pillar candles from the Dollar Tree are the perfect cherry on top. I'm obsessed with how creepy these turned out!
XOXO,
